Le Science Evaluation Panel (SEP) joue un rĂ´le central dans le bon fonctionnement d’IODP3. Il est chargĂ© d’Ă©valuer et de sĂ©lectionner les meilleures et les plus pertinentes propositions de forage et les plus pertinentes, avant de les transmettre au Mission Specific Platform-Facility Board (MSP-FB) pour l’Ă©laboration des calendriers des expĂ©ditions. Les membres du SEP sont issus des communautĂ©s scientifiques internationales spĂ©cialisĂ©es dans le forage ocĂ©anique des pays membres principaux et associĂ©s de l’IODP3. Afin d’Ă©valuer les aspects scientifiques et la caractĂ©risation des sites des propositions de forage/carottage, les membres du SEP sont rĂ©partis en deux sous-groupes, SEP-Science et SEP-Site, sous la direction de deux co-chairs.
Description du poste (en anglais)
In this call, IODP³ is seeking applications from scientists with established expertise and a strong research track record to join either the SEP-Science or SEP-Site Subgroups. The call is open to scientists with experience in experience in all relevant research fields, but we particularly seek experts in the paleoclimate, tectonics, geochemistry, and petrology for SEP‑Science membership, and in marine geophysics, including seismic reflection interpretation, and sub-bottom profiling for SEP‑Site membership.

Applications from scientists based in IODP3 Member nations must be submitted to the IODP3 Science Office by the deadline of 23:59 GMT on Monday 16Â November 2026 using the IODP3 Gateway system, accessed via the Apply to Participate link on the IODP3 website.  Applicants should clearly indicate their SEP subgroup of interest in their Application Statement.
